On this Organized tour we start our tour driving by Daphne Monastery (with unique Byzantine 11th Century splendid mosaics), continue by Eleusis we’ll see the corinth canal and isthmia and pass by the fortress of Acrocorinth.After that we’ll arrive at mycenae, the legentary home of the atreids that gave its name to the earliest sophisticated civilization on the mainland in 4000 years ago. Also we’ll visit the famous bee-five tomb of king Agamemnon and the Lion’s Gate that is part of awesome Cyclopean wall. Mycenae was the powerful centre of the second half of the bronze age (1600 – 1100 BC), with its awesome Cyclopean walls, its unique Lion’s Gate, and the ruins of Agamemnon’s palace were series of most tragic dramas took place. Leaving Mycenae we continue to Nauplion, an old seaside extremely picturesque town preserving all its old charm that has expanded up the hillsides in modern times near the north end of the argolic Gulf. The town was chosen to be the first Capital of modern Greece. Nauplion is now the Capital of Argolis and the province of Nauplion. We’ll continue to visit the Sanctuary of Asklepios or else known as the Theatre of Epidaurus, world famous for its acoustics.
